Anxious, nervous, scared

November 26, 2012

So its been just over two weeks since I heard Dr. Euro say the words and I’m not definitely not numb anymore.

I have read, read, read and read some more. My eyes are bloodshot by the end of each and every day.

I am just the kind of person that will research something until I’m blue in the face to make sure I have enough information, enough facts to really understand a subject. Yet cancer is so different than any story I’ve ever written. It is dynamic and ever-changing — by the day depending on the research published and ideas shared.

Tuesday is the big day to go to The James. My welcome packet came in the mail. I have filled out all the paperwork and made copies of my prescriptions and I think I’m as prepared as I can be.

So I got the paper done a day earlier than normal so no pressing issues for anyone on Tuesday. Everything is cemented except for obits and the police reports on page 2. For me that is a relief.

Tomorrow is a day of errands and little things and then into the office for work duties and a meeting. The furnace guy is to come on Wednesday to the house and thankfully so as I don’t like how loud the furnace is getting. It has always had some weird noises when it exchanges with the heat pump but it sounds like it is overdue for a good cleaning and lube.

For tonight, I did some Christmas shopping since sleep seems to be evading me and now I’m researching a purchase that I’m sure will make Jason’ do cartwheels!

Needing to rest and relax. Hopefully sleep will greet me soon.

I’ll update after we meet with the team at The James on Tuesday. 10:45 is the time. I’m praying for a positive experience with a hopeful and bright outlook.
